Jonathan Robert is blessed with a generous creative instinct. First known as the singer, guitarist, lyricist, and principal songwriter for the band Corridor (signed to the legendary label Sub Pop), he began to archive his overflowing ideas more thoroughly in 2015—a process that would eventually evolve into Jonathan Personne, his versatile solo project. Throughout the albums Histoire naturelle (2019), Disparitions (2020), Jonathan Personne (2022), Nouveau monde (2025), and now Répertoire (2026), he shifts from desert dream pop to Morricone-esque spaghetti rock, from canonical indie rock to hypnotic, catchy grooves. Prolific and shape-shifting by necessity, he typically works on three albums at once—and the next one is always in the works.
