Lumière

LUMIÈRE is the free incarnation of a musical illumination with glam rock contours. Sparkling, spectacular and sensitive all at once, the proposal frees itself from trends and brilliantly defies the laws of nostalgia. In spring 2021, multi-instrumentalist Étienne Côté presents A.M.I.E.S.A.M.O.U.R.S., the first album from his solo project LUMIÈRE. Taking the form of a freewheeling epic set in 1971, this first opus is in the tradition of the concept album, and from this universal, regenerative quest emerge fifteen sumptuous, twirling songs whose sounds echo the Quebec folk music of the '70s and the classic rock of the same era. Two years later, in May 2023, the singer-songwriter unveiled his second album, the aptly named GLAM. Pushing further the musical alliances of its predecessor, the work presents us with a new LUMIÈRE: more assertive, more exuberant, more glamorous.
