Petite Amie

Petite Amie is a band from Mexico City. In 2021, the group of friends released their first homonymous album. Their lyrics, often sung in Spanish and sometimes in French, are characterized by the expression of existential anguish generated by the search for the "self" in a world that is increasingly impersonal, where the line between what is real and what is virtual is crystallizing. In this sense, Petite Amie's music oscillates between different genres, based on psychedelic pop-rock. Their main influences include classics like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and more recent sounds like Big Thief, Magic Potion, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Crumb.
