Bio
With her dark folk songs, Safia Nolin has charmed critics and audiences alike since her debut. Whether she sings her own compositions or covers Quebec classics, the artist transports us into her unique universe. Following the release of her first album in 2016, she experienced a meteoric rise. Since then, the singer-songwriter has released an EP and three albums, two of which are composed of covers, including songs by My Chemical Romance, Paramore and Billy Talent. She also co-wrote the song Mélodie with Patrick Watson and the song Dead Shopping Mall with Kanen.
Just recently, the singer-songwriter released UFO RELIGION on which she delivers an authentic work with a pop style that's all her own. Deliberately dirty and thunderous, the sound of her guitar accompanies Safia's quiet, clear voice. The artist puts into form what she finds herself in most: the imperfection of the immediate, without smoothing anything over.
