Of Greco-Gaspesian origin, Yannis Rianta carries with him a contrasting heritage, blending the rhythms of his childhood nights (his father ran a sumptuous piano bar and discotheque in the 80s) and the silences of the great horizons by the sea, between Carleton-sur-Mer and Corfu.
In 2014, he discreetly released City Whispers, a debut album that found an unexpected echo in Japan: upon release, Tower Record Japan made it its recommended title and the CDs sold out in just a few months in over 80 outlets across the country. Already, his music was attracting audiences with its elegance, sensuality and warm textures.
After ten years of invisible work, navigating more than ever between Sade's Quiet Storm and Eddie Chacon's Celestial Soul, a new collection of songs emerges and heralds a second album. The first three singles released in 2024, Louanne, My Shadow and Equinox, reveal a timeless proposal with a hushed sound, wrapped in a sophisticated production.
